“My lovely little nephew has recently been diagnosed with retinal dystrophy. His eyesight is rapidly deteriorating, so much so that he is legally blind only 3 months after the initial diagnosis. I felt helpless and wanted to do something meaningful.
We did a Bake Sale at school. We asked everyone to bring in a gold coin and buy a delicious treat from the Bake Sale with all proceeds going to Vision Australia so they can continue to assist people in adjusting to significant and rapid sight deterioration.
It was incredible just how generous people were with their time and their money."
