How do I prove I am fundraising for you?
Once you register we’ll send you a document which authorises you to fundraise on our behalf. You can use this to show to donors, sponsors, or venues if you need to.
Are there fundraising rules I need to know?
Yes, take a look at our Fundraising Guidelines. These cover things like fundraising regulations, event planning (finances, venue, ticket sales, raffles and prizes), and keeping good records.
For instance if you are organising an event, your expenses must not exceed 40% of your fundraising. To keep costs down you can ask for support through your network. You’ll be surprised how generous people are when you ask for discounts or prizes.

How do I bank the funds I have raised?
You have a couple of options to bank your funds so your fundraising can be put to good use straight away:
1. You can log in and add your fundraising to your fundraising page
2. You can send a cheque to us at:

Please add your name as a reference, and contact us to let us know the amount of money you will be banking, so that we can identify that the payment is from you.
Can I give my donors receipts?
Yes. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and all of your online donors will automatically be sent a receipt.
Just remember that receipts cannot be given when there is an exchange for goods or services, for example event tickets, raffle tickets, bake or sausage sales.
Can you help me organise my event?

Do I need public liability insurance for my event?
You will need to make sure that any space or venue used for your fundraising event has the required public liability insurance. As Vision Australia is not the event organiser we are unable to cover any liability on your behalf. All aspects of public liability and safety are your responsibility as the event organiser. Can you help me promote my event?
Yes. Once you have registered, share your fundraising event to Facebook. Share your journey and share your photos from the day! Always include the hashtag #myvisionforvision so that your fundraising is featured on the Community page
I have a special occasion coming up. Can I ask my friends to donate instead of giving me a gift?
Making a donation to Vision Australia in lieu of sending flowers to a memorial service is a wonderful way to honour the memory of loved ones. Significant events like birthdays or anniversaries can also be celebrated by asking for a gift that gives to a good cause.
