Thanks to those who have started to fundraise and log their kms, its great to see you getting active in the lead up to the April challenge. 

This weekend might be the best opportunity to ask a friend or two to sign up and join out team, so they can work along side us to count kms and fundraise across April. 

Personally, now that I have printed the posters, emailed the volunteer coordinators, set up the teams, updated the website, contacted our sponsors and supporters to encourage participation in onr of our 4 VAR teams, I am shifting my own focus to asking my family and friends to join our VAR Melbourne team. 

Our Perth team are leading the charge for now, lets give them a 'run (roll, swim, walk, ride) for their money' ^^

Hi, Jase here! I'm excited to share that I’m one of the team captains for Vision Australia Radio Melbourne's involvement in the 100K Your Way Challenge this year. In 2024, we had a passionate, modest-sized team come together to raise essential funds for our community radio service. We were honestly blown away by the support we received!

This year, we’re aiming to grow our team and do even more good. My co-captain, Lida, and I are thrilled to walk, swim, run, and roll alongside you this April.

We're doing 100K, our way!

This April, we’ve joined forces to take on the challenge of Vision Australia’s 100K Your Way. Our team will be walking, running, swimming, cycling and rolling our way to 100km throughout the month.  

Because for someone who is blind or has low vision, staying active and independent isn’t always easy. Even a simple walk or run can be a challenge. Vision Australia is changing that, by playing a crucial role in empowering people of all ages who are blind or have low vision to move the way they choose. 

You can join us in supporting this important cause by sponsoring our 100K Your Way challenge and clicking the DONATE button. If you donate to our team, you'll be directly supporting our community led, not for profit radio service for people living with a print disability.
