I'm fundraising for Seeing Eye Dogs
There is a growing number of people living with vision impairment and I'm fundraising to support them to live the life they choose.
I'm going to try something I previously believed to be impossible for me, an Ironman in Busselton on December 1st (3.8km swim, 180km cycle, marathon run). I'm still not sure how I'll fair, but I've been training 6 days per week since July to make it happen.
For context, in January '21 I fostered an 8 week old puppy named "Jonah" to raise him for the seeing eye dog program. He ended up qualifying for the breeder program, and has since been responsible for 20 new puppies in the colony. They're remarkable animals, and they can have a life-changing impact on people who are vision impaired.
If you can spare the price of a pint or coffee, it would be fantastic if you can donate it towards this great cause. I appreciate it greatly, and will be sure to let you know what the contributions do to secure a brighter future for those who are blind or have low vision.
