I'm trekking for Vision Australia
Dear Friends,
I will be embarking on a hiking adventure 7-11 March along the queen Charlotte Track in New Zealand, in support of Vision Australia. This involves a 60 km hike over three days through stunning scenery and terrain, led by vision Australia CEO Ron Hooton, and together with a small group of Vision Australia clients, employees and supporters.

I am joined in this endeavour by my friend Hailey Brown, CEO of accessible tourism platform, Vacayit. Hailey is achieving amazing things in the tourism industry both in Australia and abroad, in bringing access and accessibility to the forefront of industry thinking and future design.
I am taking on this challenge and fundraising for VA because I am passionate about people who are blind or visually impaired living the lives they choose. As a kid, I developed my love of reading and learning through the VA Braille and talking book library. Occupational therapists for VA and other organisations have helped me to build the skills that have made me the successful, independent, and confident adult that I am today. I am currently also supported in doing life by my Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dog wonder-hound, Trina. It is time for me to give back and do my bit to ensure that others who were once in my position have opportunities, can build skills, and can aspire to be the very best versions of themselves possible.
Funds raised will be going to two VA programs – quality living groups to help build life skills, and to vision Australia Radio. The trip is self-funded, and our team fundraising goal is $7,000.
