Hi! My name is Janey.
I'm a Seeing Eye Dogs puppy in training, my dream is to become a Seeing Eye Dog and help someone who is blind or has low vision.
I have joined the Seeing Eye Dogs: Bay of Fires Adventure and will be stepping out of my puppy comfort zone on a physically and emotionally challenging journey.
Trekking for 6-days along the spectacular Bay of Fires trek to support Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs to breed, care for and train pups just like me to become dog guides and make a big difference to Australians who are blind or have low vision!
Along with Seeing Eye Dogs puppy development trainer Kim, I'll be learning so much on this adventure and who knows, one day I might be matched with a Vision Australia client who loves walking just as much as I do and who wants the freedom to experience an adventure just like this.
Did you know training and caring of Seeing Eye Dogs who, apart from being a companion to those who are blind or have low-vision, provide much needed mobility and independence for people who would otherwise be unable to undertake day to day activities?
