I'm doing 100K Your Way for Bonnie and Kids like her

Earlier this month our Bonnie was diagnosed with Spinocerebellar ataxia type 29. This is an extremely rare genetic condition with only approximately 40 reported cases worldwide. There is little known about the condition, other than it causes ataxia (lack of balance and coordination), difficulty with gross motor skills (such a walking), can cause speech delays and can affect eye movement. In Bonnie's case, she has oclomotor apraxia, which is difficulty in fixing and focusing on moving objects. It has taken nearly 2 years, many tests, trips up to the Royal Children's and countless specialists appointments for this diagnosis to be made. Vision Australia were a key part of Bonnie's interventions between the ages of 4 and 16 months, assisting us by providing vision assessments and OT + Physio services covered completely through donation money. That is why this April, Jack and I will be undertaking the 100km Your Way fundraiser for Vision Australia for the 2nd year in a row. Some awesome friends and family are joining us to make our team 'Bonnie's Bunch'. During the month of April we aim to walk, run and ride 150km to raise money to help those who have low vision or are blind to be independently mobile. We hope that one day Bonnie will be able to walk independently aswell, and join us in walking along our beach in San Remo. Please donate to this great cause if you can xx
