Tracking your KILOMETRES

Throughout April, upload your kilometres for 100K Your Way and your personal fundraising page will track and display your progress to supporters.

Here are three step-by-step guides with instructions on how to track and upload kilometres with a fitness device, manually, or by converting fitness activities and sports.

How to track kms with a device

The easiest ways to track your kilometres is with a fitness tracker. Use a personal smartphone or fitness device (e.g. smart watch, Fitbit, Strava or Garmin) to track walks, runs, swimming laps, rides, or fitness minutes. You will need to have downloaded the right app for your device and following these instructions to connect to your 100K Your Way dashboard:

Step 1
Log in to your 100K Your Way account and select the tab ‘Log My Walk/Run’.
Step 2
Navigate to ‘Add the fitness app connection functionality’ and select the Fitbit, Strava or Garmin app.
Step 3
Follow the prompts to connect your account.
Step 4
When you start your next activity, select ‘start’ in the app. When you finish, select ‘save’. Please allow 24hrs for your dashboard tally to update.

 How to track kms manually

If you don’t have a tracking device or wish to count other fitness activities such as tennis, dancing, yoga or other sports, you can convert this activity into kilometres and upload them manually.

Step 1
Complete your activity, noting your kms or time.
Step 3
Under 'your KM', click the correct date on the tracker and enter number of kilometres completed.
Step 4
The number of kilometres will appear on your fundraising page and update on your tracker.

 Converting activities to kms

Not everyone can take long walks or runs every day, but as a fully accessible and inclusive event, 100K Your Way lets you move the way you choose. From a tennis match to morning yoga, make every move matter by converting your active minutes into kilometres.

Step 1
Download the activity conversion chart and find your chosen sport or activity.
Step 2
Time how many minutes you spend doing the movement activity.
Step 3
Convert the number of active minutes into kilometres using the calculations.
Step 4
Follow the instructions for uploading kilometres manually.
