Dusting off the runners (and a Santa suit) for Jo & the kids!
Confession: I haven't run properly since I crossed the finish line of a half marathon over 2 years ago. My runners have been collecting dust ever since. But I've just found the best reason to lace them back up!
On November 28, I'm suiting up as Santa and running The Tan for the incredible Joanne Cabot (Jo, to anyone lucky enough to know her!) Jo has love vision, and I'll be on the other end of her tether, keeping us on track and hopefully not tripping over my own beard.
If you've met Jo, you already get it. Her energy is infectious, her outlook on life is a breath of fresh air, and she's one of the best ambassadors the blind and low vision community could ask for. She's also the one who taught me how to use a *bedazzled* cane, so it's about time I returned the favour and got her rund that track.
We're raising money for Vision Australia's children's services. Every dollar goes towards specialist suppot and resources for kids and teens who are blind or have low vision, so they can grow up living a life without limits. Spend five minutes with Jo and you'll see exactly why that matters.
So chuck in whatever you can. $1, $10, a share on your story, it all counts. And if you want to come down to The Tan and cheer on a couple of very sweaty Santas, even better!
Teri x
