Improvise with Audio Description

I'm fundraising for LEAP Program

Jett is a 15 year old student from the Northern Beaches. Anna is an experienced improvised theatre performer and teacher who works with Improv Theatre Sydney. We're fundraising as part of Jett's involvement in the LEAP program. 

LEAP is Vision Australia’s pioneering employability and leadership program for young people, aged between 14 and 18, who are preparing to tackle their personal and professional goals. 

Improvisation or Improv is a spontaneous, playful and collaborative medium which  often relies heavily on visual gags and fast diaglogue. 

To help Jett succeed in his LEAP program fundraising goal (in order to attend a camp in Melbourne) Jett and Anna are running a workshop for the improv community at the ITS Theatre in Redfern. The workshop will focus on how to improvise for a low vision audience using theatre games, scene work and the classic "lights off" format The Bat. 

After the workshop, some participants will be invited to demonstrate their new found skills in a public show at ITS on  June 2 2023.
