Specsavers Matched Giving Day is back and bigger than ever! For one day only you can really step up your fundraising thanks to our fantastic partners at Specsavers. On Thursday April 16, Specsavers will match every donation received dollar-for-dollar.

That means every $1 raised on Matched Giving Day will be worth $2, with Specsavers matching up to $20,000 in fundraising*.

5 quick ways to double your impact

Specsavers Matched Giving Day provides a limited opportunity to really supercharge your fundraising. You may have already asked your network for a donation, but even a small additional gift will really make an impact with every dolar doubled. Plus, you'll both be in the running to win two new pairs of glasses personalised to you, thanks to Specsavers.

Here are five simple ideas to help participate in Matched Giving Day on April 16.

1. Send a personal follow-up

If you have any contacts who have expressed interest but haven't donated yet, now is the time to give them a nudge. Let them know their contribution will be doubled if they support you by midnigh5t on Thursday April 16, 2026 and they could score themselves two pairs of glasses.

2. Blitz your socials

Let your followers know about Specsavers Matched Giving Day and consider an extra incentive to promote urgency. Some ideas include letting supporters choose your next workout outfit for a donation or daring you to share a funny video/photo on your next walk.

3. Share your personal motivation

We know there are many reasons why people choose to fundraising for Vision Australia. If this cause has a special place in your heart, let people know why by updating your profile with images and stories of your 100K Your Way journey. Your story could motivate others and help them understand the importance of helping peopel who are blind or have low vision to lead active, independent lives.

4. Pop a link in your email signature

Put every email to work by adding in your personal fundraising URL. This can be found in your dashboard via the 'login' icon on the top right corner of every page. If you are already logged in, your first name should appeal alongside this icon, along with a drop-down menu.

5. Set a calendar reminder to self-donate

By making a self-donation to your own 100K Your Way page, you can 'break the ice' and show not only momentum, but serious commitment to your cause. This encourages more people to join you and support your efforts.

Every self-donation of $50 made on April 16 will be worth $100 to Australians with vision loss, thanks to Specsavers dollar-matching. You'll also have a chance to win a 12-month Single-City Entertainment membership, valued at $70.

Terms and conditions

*Matched giving terms and conditions:
Specsavers will dollar-match all 100K Your Way public fundraising to the value of $20,000, for donations received by Vision Australia between 8am and midnight AEST on Thursday April 16, 2026. This excludes any funds raised by Specsavers employee teams, which will already be dollar-matched by Specsavers to the total value of $5,000, for donations received between April 1 - May 1, 2026.

*Specsavers Matched Giving Day reward draw terms and conditions:
Receive a donation on Thursday April 16, 2026 and you and your donor will receive automatic entry into the draw to win a Specsavers voucher. Each voucher is redeemable for two complete pairs of glasses from any range in store. The second pair may be redeemed as polarised sunglasses. For donors, please ensure you select a fundraiser for you and your recipient to be eligble for entry into the Specsavers reward draw. Competition will be drawn on Friday 17 April 2026. Winners will be notified by email and vouchers delivered by post.
